If Pune has to be a world class city it needs to have a world class Central Business District with a high density high rise commercial environment which is central and well connected by a robust transit system.

The “potential 800 acre CBD site” is located near the confluence of the Mula and Mutha River, coincidentally located at the center of the city. It is also in the close proximity of Pune station which can be an important intercity station in the future high-speed train environment.

The mixed-use district will feature high-rise commercial buildings, cultural institutes, museums, and a performance venue for “Pune Festival along the banks of Mula Mutha Confluence, a central square, and open spaces, along with a comprehensive street network and a light rail system which will connect the new CBD to the Pune Station.
