Conceived as an extension of the existing 750 bed, Bharati Teaching Hospital at Dhankawadi, this oncology hospital is a standalone structure with separate operations and management.

Built on a very compact footprint of only 1500 sq. ft. , the hospital accommodates radiation oncology bunkers, radiation therapy, PET CT room, tumor board room, chemotherapy rooms, OPDs and other support spaces. For the future requirements within the limited footprint, the structure is designed for 15-storey vertical expansion.

The guidelines of Evidence Based Design (EBD) are employed for developing a healing environment for patients and an efficient workspace for the healthcare staff. Each patient room is outfitted with a large window, seating area and sofa bed for the patient caretakers.
